Plant Coach
Since we are such a unique concept, the job description is a combination of working retail and serving. Think plant waiter/waitress! If you have worked in the food industry, this is a position that’s similar to the pace!
You do not need to be a plant wizard to be hired. We walk you through the process and give extensive training to teach you all the know how's of plants!
You will help identify client needs, present and answer questions about our products/services and recommend solutions. A positive attitude and a desire to promptly resolve potential customer issues or complaints will make you successful in this role. If you love working with your hands and love serving people, this is the job for you. Position requires coaching customers through creating plant arrangements, teaching workshops, bartending, plant care and answering all things plants!
Responsibilities
Teaches customers how to create arrangements and proper care for plants
Takes customer orders for libations and checks ID’s for alcoholic beverages
Serves customers by helping them select products and escorting them to racks and counters to create their arrangement
Drives sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner
Provides outstanding customer service
Processes payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, store gift cards or other credit/debit cards
Alerts management of potential security issues
Assists with inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise
Learns maintenance of specific succulents vs. cactus and categorizing based on watering schedule
Plant, spray, fertilize and water plants, succulents and cacti
Sell and deliver arrangements to customers
Clean work and workshop areas after events
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
